In September 2023, PachaMama Foods and Perceval and Knights Foundation decided to collaborate and start the “Keep the Kids in School” project where nursery and primary school pupils whose schools are not part of the current Federal Government School Feeding programme would have access to free meals, educative materials, uniforms amongst others as these are key for the pupils brain development, enthusiasm to learn, retention in school and physical development and health.

 

On 13^th December 2023, the official flag-off ceremony took place and in attendance were the pupils, teachers, representatives of the State Primary School Board, representatives of the Plateau state government, parents, community leaders and other stakeholders. It was a success as they were visible evidence of the effect of the feeding on the pupils, their new uniforms in the minds of the pupils and parents. We hope that in 2024, we can expand from the current two schools in 2 different local government we engage to at least a school in each 17 local governments in Plateau states and in other states.
